In 2016, a New Orleans Art Deco building re-opened as the Ace Hotel.
The small chain of Ace Hotels are well known for their youthful vibe, and this latest location adds in a good helping of southern charm.
Designed by Roman and Williams, the look is dark and moody befitting a city known for its steamy summer days. There’s also a touch of rock and roll in the rooms that provide guests with a Music Hall turntable and acoustic Martin guitar.
The hotel pumps up the volume at night when guests and locals congregate in the Three Keys music venue for DJs, live bands and swing dance lessons.
Swing dance lessons in dark and moody New Orleans? Yes please.
